2011 Crystal Gardens Young Women's New Beginnings

This year our theme was "The Biggest Gainer"...super cute!

Sister Young did such an amazing job on the balloons, scripting, and overall decor!
She also made these cute favors for all the new girls:)
I was in charge of the treats...so I went with foods in the YW value colors

FAITH (White) - Stands for purity
DIVINE NATURE (Blue) - Reminds us of the sky, heaven and where we came
from. We are of divine parents.

INDIVIDUAL WORTH (Red) - Reminds us of the blood of Christ. The Savior
believed that there wasn't any price too high to pay for us. He loved us so much that He
willingly paid for us with His blood and His own life. He bled from every pore for us.
He paid the infinite price. We are of great worth to the Lord and we should be to
ourselves as well.

KNOWLEDGE (Green) - Reminds us of spring time when things are starting to grow.
We too, should keep growing and learning.

CHOICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY(Orange) - The caution on a stoplight. We too,
have choices to make and we need to pray to make the correct choices. We need to use
caution in making choices.
‚ GOOD WORKS (Yellow) - Sunshine. When we give service it makes us feel warm all
over just as the sun makes us feel warm. We are always blessed by the service we give.

INTEGRITY (Purple) - Royal color. The dye was very hard to come by in past ages
and was costly to produce so only people of royal birth (Kings and Queens) could afford
to wear the cloth of this color. It came to represent royalty. We are of royal birth...
daughters of Heavenly Father. Someday, if we live worthily, we will be princesses and
Queens. We must have integrity to do that. If we have integrity we have all the other
values as well.

Virtue (Gold)-Virtue is remaining morally clean and sexually pure. Being virtuous will help young women prepare to go to the temple and fulfill future roles as wives and mothers.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I woke up early to make sure they all had Valentine's awaiting them...and heart pancakes to make sure their tummy's were full before school!
Boston was pretty excited:)

Pink pancake batter

Palm Springs Getaway...

My friend Cassea was getting married in Palm Springs the weekend right before Valentine's Day, so we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make it a little vacay!

Phil, being the perfect hubby he is thought ahead and had this beautiful bracelet ready and waiting for me:)
The room was super cute...I've never stayed in the Homewood Suites before, but I would totally recommend the one in Palm Springs...
It had a cute little kitchenette and everything.
This is a horrible quality picture of Cassea and I...she looked absolutely breath-taking in her dress!
Congrats Cassea and Henry!

Berlin got stitches:(

I'm not sure if it's because I have mostly girls...the fact that my kids play "nicely", or the fact that we've just been lucky, but leave it to our last baby to make sure we get the "wonderful" experience of going to the emergency room for stitches!

Berlin's split lip
The cause:  Rain boots that were atleast 4 sizes to big worn on the wrong feet.  She was a walking time bomb...literally.  Unfortunately when she went down...it happened to be right next to Boston's bed:(
Just wouldn't stay closed

Waiting in the ER...

Not happy...I think it hurt me more than her:(

2 stitches

In a much better mood:)

Boston...being Boston:)

I have to laugh at the little moments...I found these pictures on my camera:)  HAHA, this must have been good stuff it was camera worthy...it does look a lot like his tongue:p  I'm guessing Paris is the photographer...mainly because Brooklyn knows my camera is off limits and Madison's picture would probably be pretty blurry;)  The angle is leading me to believe she was sitting on the island...hmmm

I love my boy...

Brooklyn's Eleven!

Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

I can't believe she's eleven!  It seems like it was just a few years ago, my "little" 11lb 4 oz package arrived:)

Brooklyn is in 5th grade this year and is THE best oldest daughter and student anyone could ever ask for!  She's absolutely nothing like her mother when it comes to behavior!  I love it!!! I'm sure some of her sisters are seriously going to give me us our fair share, but Brooklyn spoils us.

Brooklyn's new Citrus

She's also super smart and has learned that if you help mom and dad, you get perks;)  Phil and I do a pretty good job of rewarding our kids for good behavior and Brooklyn pretty much always knows the perfect thing to say or do at just the right time!  Boston and Paris hate it, but we LOVE it...I'll be honest, brown nosing is totally allowed here;)

Since it's a school day, we decided she could open 1 gift before school...then we'd take her to a movie(Gulliver's Travels), dinner (Islands), and dessert (Coldstone) with a friend!  Her own GNO:)
