A couple of room updates!

We got some new things for around the house and I felt ambitious enough to tackle the tasks of painting, nailing, and decorating! I thought I'd show off my efforts. I change things around so much that our front room is already outdated in these photos. We now have white curtains instead of the green. Oh well, you get the general idea.

My craft room aka "crap room" as Phil likes to refer to it is no longer so crafty! It now has shelves as you can see for our candle inventory! We still have room for guests too! We got new bedding in that room too, so I decided a wall color change was in order. I think it flows and it's husband approved!

Brooklyn's Getting Baptised!

Brooklyn's getting baptised this Saturday, Feb. 2nd @ 5:00p.m. at our ward building! We're all so excited! She's the only one from our entire stake that's getting baptised on this day so she actually doesn't have to share the font with anyone else! I think mom's more excited about this than she is. We're busting out the chocolate fountain and serving up some "sweet" desserts at our pad afterwards so be there or be square!!!!

Happy 8th Birthday Brooklyn!

Brooklyn was so excited to turn 8! She is absolutely in love with High School Musical...if you couldn't tell! She was very excited to go to school on her birthday this year because it normally falls on Christmas break! So we brought cupcakes and punch to school, which she thought was really cool! Since most of the close family is out of state and we didn't want to do a huge party...(her baptism is still coming!) so invited a couple of close friends of ours to share some cake! She was so excited, we did the whole High School Musical theme and she got the Wii game she's been wanting. She also got a "Bratz" sewing machine that really works and the kids have been having fun trying to "sew" stuff! She had a blast!

California Trip!

It was so much fun to see all my brothers and sisters on Christmas this year! Everyone was home except Sarah's husband Justin. Since we had all the grandkids together we made sure we got a few photos of them all! It went by too fast. The boys all played in the Crows Landing ward basketball tournament and won their first two games but lost during the championships to Turlock 3rd ward. Which happens to be Jake Barnes (my cousin) ward. They had fun playing against each other and us girls had fun cheering them on from the stage! Memories from when we were young watching dad play! We stayed until Saturday when I got the flu...and we decided to cut our trip a little short and drive half way to L.A. it was nice only having 4 hours in the morning to drive home! We miss everyone already and can't wait until everyone gets together again!

Christmas Day!

The day finally arrived! Brooklyn woke up first to the sounds of santa's sleigh at a sweet 5:30 in the am! Sooo, we stalled her for a bit by letting her play bowling, (her favorite Wii game). Luckily that worked for about an hour before the rest of the clan woke up! They never thought the day would come! After presents were opened we packed the car and headed for Nana and Papa's house in California! The kids were so excited! It was a busy day!

Christmas Eve with Gramma Debbie and Papa!

Gramma Debbie and Papa were able to stop by for a quick visit on their way back to Utah from Bryon's Dad's 80th birthday in L.A. Of course they came bearing loads of gifts! The kids had so much fun seeing them again and it was a preview of what was to come on Christmas day for Madison! She had no idea she could rip the presents open!

Gingerbread House Time!

The kids are officially on vacation and we had to come up with some classic activities! I know everyone remembers the graham cracker versions of these yummy houses! I tried to tell my kids that gingerbread really isn't very tasty...(my opinion)but they wanted to see for themselves, so the day before I bought some ginger snaps...yeah, long story short, everyone was down with using graham crackers instead of the gingerbread! Mom was happy because it's a whole lot less work! Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!

What you didn't see on your christmas cards this year! With the addition of each child it get's harder and harder for everyone to look at the camera! This year it was our Boston that told us he couldn't smile with his eyes open, because the lights hurt his eyes! So as you can see when one is looking or in some cases when 3 are looking one is a little distracted! Anyway it was a bunch of fun taking these pictures this year! We hope you all have a great holiday season!

It Rains in Phoenix!

The kids had so much fun last weekend with the rain! It started to rain on Friday and the kids had a blast playing in it! They were shocked that we didn't have any umbrellas and really wanted me to go buy some. Even though it was still in the 70's we went and got the kids hot cocoa from Starbucks and then stopped off at the dollar tree for some quality umbrellas after school! So as soon as we got home the kids ran down to the little park down the street and had a bunch of fun splashing in the rain! It was a nice little break to all of our sunny days!

Christmas Cookies Anyone?

We had a bunch of fun making ginger bread men...okay sugar cookie men today! As you can see, they look absolutely delicious! Paris' friend Maddy was over having fun too!

Halloween 2007

Halloween is always a blast with kids! We had school functions, church functions, and then of course the real deal! They had plenty of practice before performing for the neighbors. Everyone decided on one costume except Paris. She found our costume bin and wanted to be raggedy ann, a witch, and The Little Mermaid, so of course she had to be all 3! We had enough functions to be all! When my kids saw Paris as Raggedy Ann they all said look it's "Jo-Jo"! (for those of you without little kids, Jo-Jo is a little circus clown on the disney channel) I'm getting so old. I had to explain who Raggedy Ann was! Madison stayed home with mom this year and passed out candy while dad took the kids out. Everytime someone knocked or rang our bell, she would make this excited sound and point to the door! When we opened the door, she was always surprised at who was staring back!

Pre-School Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Paris' class got to go to a pumpkin patch for a field trip and Madison got to tag along too! Unfortunately, it was in the upper 90's during this trip so we stuck to the animals and then flocked to the shade! This was our first year without even carving a pumpkin! I have to say these new fake pumpkins are awesome! No mess!
