Sara and Chad come to Visit!

It was a sweet, but short weekend! Sara and Chad came to visit from Utah. They had a wedding in Mesa on Friday, so they were able to come out our way and stay for a few days! It was pretty fun!
We went swimming on Saturday, during the day with the kids...happy to report NO sunburns! We were out there forever and we just did a spritz with the SPF50 spray sunscreen...oh wait, Sarah and Chad used "their" sunscreen...but it seemed to work just as well, because we were all in good shape for the evening! We ended up getting a babysitter and catching Angels & Demons (a.k.a Saints & Angels) I don't know why, but I keep calling it this instead! I guess Demons is a little too evil for my taste:) Anyway, I thought it was okay. It was interesting, but I think the Davinci Code was a little better.

Sunday we made a trip out to Mesa to visit Aunt Becky and Uncle John for a HUGE dinner party! Becky made Cafe Rio pork with all the "fixins"! It was really yummy and fun to visit with everyone again.

IT was a hot day, and the evening was BEAUTIFUL! So we sweetened up the kids by first giving them some ice cream...then we let Brooklyn in on the fact that the "grownups" wanted to go swimming. I'm admitting to a bribe here...I told Brooklyn I'd give her $5 if she was able to put Madison and Seattle to sleep...or atleast keep them in her room. Boston found out...and I had to give him $2 basically to keep quiet, but we said it was to "help" Brooklyn. Yeah, think what you want...but we were close by!

With the flash off...you can kind of get the idea. The flash ruins all the pretty lights:(
We all went out at about 8, the water was PERFECT...we even threw in our disco lights for fun! It was so nice to swim with no one screaming or hanging on to you! We had a blast...with the exception of being attacked by flying grasshoppers, apparently with death wishes, that kept leaping into the pool for some reason! We dealt with them by giving them voices with spanish accents...and watching as they slowly drowned, or were scooped out by Phil's lifesaving net! I know sounds crazy...but it was HILARIOUS! Ahh...the perfect end to a sweet day!

P.S. Phil checked in on the kids before the rest of us got out...and yeah...they were ALL ASLEEP! SCORE!! Maybe we'll have to do this more often! (Worth every penny!)

Sounds like a good deal to me! We make Chipotle, but I've never had cafe rio. Is it better?
